Daniel knew the place before he knew the ring: a turnout above the Pacific where he and Mira had stopped on their first road trip.
Three video calls
He started with a photo of a ring Mira had saved years earlier. Over three calls with our Los Angeles stylist they settled on a 1.8 ct oval in a hidden halo, yellow gold, with a band thin enough to sit under a future wedding ring.
Finished by hand
The setting was cast, set and polished in our studio, then filmed in daylight so Daniel could approve the stone before it shipped.
At the edge of Big Sur
He proposed at sunset. Mira says she noticed the light in the stone before she noticed the question.
